Best Indian food in the Northland. It's my carryout spot, and even though the parking lot is full of pot holes and not at all conducive to the flow of traffic, it's well worth the Charlie Foxtrot in order to bring home that tasty food.

But seriously, the parking lot is the only negative thing I can say about Moti. They're always amazingly friendly, it smells like heaven inside, and the food is to die for.

Terrific dinner of lamb masala. The mild sauce had plenty of flavorful curry but lacked the heat, letting the tender meat stand out. A side order of garlic naan had just a touch of the garlic to accent the buttery, toasted bread.

Delicious papadum (lentil wafer) and an assortment of condiments started the meal, with a serving of rice pudding and a small pastry finishing it as part of the entree. A nearby couple who frequented the restaurant recommended the lunch buffet.

My go to takeout when I just need comfort food with a kick. If you are in a hotel near the airport this is your place for excellent food and good prices. The spices are awesome, quality is top notch and folks are friendly. I love Butter Chicken and Chicken Tiki Masala. Husband loves lamb. Always delicious here! I have never been disappointed. Looks a little hole in the wall from the street but well worth it.

Moti Mahal II Reviews

I called before coming for the price of the buffet and was told 10.99. At first thought I was like that's a couple dollars more than I'm use to. I wanted to visit anyway due to not having Indian down here and the reviews were great. Also my date never tried Indian at all and we had to have the best near.

Yo my surprise naan and mango lassi comes with the buffet. So I didn't feel so bad about the price any longer. Not sure if they give seconds on this, we happen to not eat it all.

It's come to the point where I'm not sure what I would do without Moti Mahal in my life. From other parts of KC to San Francisco, the other Indian restaurants I've tried just don't compare. Now I have I tried every single one? No, no I haven't. But I have tried enough to know Moti Mahal comes out on top every time.

Indian is a particular favorite of ours in the winter, but it was especially so throughout my recent pregnancy - and then again once the baby was born. We're now in a nearly once-a-week habit of ordering Indian delivery. Occasionally, we spring for twice-a-week and I never complain.

Moti Mahal used to be called Korma Sutra, but it's the same restaurant with the same owner. My family and I have been going to this Kansas City chain since I was a child. The Westport location is my preferred haunt. It is some of the best Indian food in Kansas City.

They have buffet options during the day and you can order off the menu at night, so you get the full range of experience.
